Agnes Patricia Feeney

Agnes Patricia (Carney) Feeney of Reading passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013 at Peter Sanborn Place in Reading. She was 95 years of age.



Born on April 12, 1918, Agnes was the loving daughter of the late Bartholomew Carney and Mary (Crowley) Carney. Agnes was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, great aunt, neighbor and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.



Agnes was the beloved wife of the late Henry P. Feeney. She was the devoted mother of Mark Feeney, of Cambridge, a Pulitzer Prize winning arts writer for the Boston Globe, and Joan

Feeney, of New York, founding editor of Epicurious.com and Vogue.com. Agnes was the cherished grandmother of William Feeney and Charlotte F. Phillips. She was the sister of the late Mary Horton, Bartholomew Carney, Nora Morrison, William Carney, and John Carney. Agnes is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.



Funeral from the Doherty -Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Monday, September 23, 2013 at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. Reading at 10:30am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 3-7pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and handicapped entrance are available. Interment will take place at Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
