Agnes A. (Murphy) Lehane of Salem, New Hampshire, formerly of Somerville and Medford, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 20, 2023. She is 83 years of age.
Born on Tuesday, April 23, 1940 in Somerville, Agnes is the loving daughter of the late Daniel Murphy and Regina (Lawlor) Murphy. Agnes is a warm, gentle and kind daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be truly missed.
Many trips to the family farm in Jacquet River, Canada were made where she would spend time with her beloved cousins and extended family. She also enjoyed visiting family in Ireland and England. Agnes was a proud member of the Teamsters Local 25 and worked as a Pharmacy technician for over 20 years. Upon retiring she and her husband John moved to Kennebunkport, Maine, where they could be found on their boat, the Icebreaker. In the winter, they would drive their RV down to Breezy Palms, RV Park in
Florida, where they made wonderful friends.
In addition to traveling, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, reading and playing cribbage.
Agnes is the beloved wife of the late John Lehane. She is the devoted mother of Paul Lehane and his wife Sandy, Cathy Dello Russo and her husband Frank, Jack Lehane, Carol Murray and her husband Michael and the late Maureen Lucarotti. The cherished grandmother of Ashley, Bridget and Paul Lehane, Regina Carone and her husband Sam, Emily Dello Russo, Steven Lucarotti and Amanda Lucarotti, Agnes is the dear sister of the late Mary Murphy. She is the dear Sister in Law of Mary Hanley and Paul and Jeremiah Lehane. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM, Thursday, May 25 th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Agnes’ Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery,
Stoneham.
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Agnes’ Family on Wednesday, May 24 th from 4-7pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
The family wishes to extend their thanks and gratitude to all of the staff at Greystone Farms Assisted Living community, as well as Compassus Hospice care.
