Agostino A. Pelosi a longtime Reading resident, formerly of East Boston passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was 90 years of age.
Born in East Boston, Agostino was the loving son of the late Michael Pelosi and Anna (Anzalone) Pelosi. Agostino was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Agostino was an avid bridge player. He graduated from Northeastern University. Agostino was a dedicated Electrical Engineer for United Engineers in Boston. During World War II, Agostino proudly defended our freedom by serving in the United States Navy.
He was proud to have raised his children in Reading. Agostino loved to travel, especially with his wife to the Dominican Republic. His family was first and foremost in his life.
Agostino was the beloved husband for 64 years of Dolores (Intoppa) Pelosi. He was the devoted father of Michael Pelosi, Paul Pelosi and his wife Carol and the late William Pelosi. Agostino was the cherished grandfather of Lisa and Lori Pelosi, Colleen Keenan and Nicole Pelosi. He was the loving great grandfather of Sophia and Olivia. Agostino was the dear brother of Frances Vennochi and her late husband Joe and the late Anthony Pelosi. He was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service Celebrating Agostino's Eternal Life will be held on Tuesday at 12pm in the Chapel of the Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family prior to the Service beginning at 10am. Parking attendants and handicapped entrance are available. Interment with Military Honors will take place at Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
