Aidan Joseph "AJ" Skinner of Reading died suddenly doing what he loved on July 2, 2014 at age 12.
AJ was the beloved son of Rob Skinner and Krista (Bardol) Skinner. He was the loving brother of Kyle and Molly. AJ was the cherished grandson of Henry and Barbara (Sousa) Bardol and Ned and Kathy (Quinn) Skinner. He was the dear nephew of Henry and Kristen Bardol, Shannon and Brad Atkinson, Jackie and Ray Guarino and Heather Skinner.
Aidan was also loved by several cousins and many close friends. He was passionate about lacrosse and worked hard to be the best goalie he could. In addition to lacrosse, Aidan also enjoyed basketball, swimming and skiing An aspiring chef, he hoped to build a restaurant empire one day. As a Boy Scout, Aidan enjoyed outdoor adventures and challenges. Aidan was proud to be an Altar Server at St. Patrick Parish and a dedicated paperboy for the Reading Chronicle. AJ brought great joy to all of those who knew him and his light will continue to shine.
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather with the Family on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 3-8 p.m. at the Barile Family Funeral Home located at 482 Main Street (Route 28) in Stoneham. The funeral will leave from the Barile Family Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating AJ's Eternal Life at St. Patrick Church located at 71 Central Street in Stoneham at 10:00 a.m. A Collation will immediately follow the funeral mass at the Montvale Plaza located at 54 Montvale Avenue in Stoneham.
