Albert Louis Jutras

Albert L. Jutras, age 91, of Stoneham, passed away peacefully at The Sawtelle Hospice Home, Reading, on March 10th, 2024.

Albert is the beloved husband (67 years ) of Patricia (Mullane) Jutras. He is the cherished father of David Jutras and his wife Donna, Dyan Bruno and her husband Wayne, Michael Jutras, Shelley Croteau and her husband Corey, Linda McMorrow, Jackie Josephson and her husband Eric, and Kevin Jutras and his wife Mary. He is the loving grandfather of Tim, Andy, Shaun and his partner Brooke, Alana and her husband Greg, Kim and her husband Matt, Mat and his wife Angela, Nicole, Bree and her husband Martin, Jasmine and her wife Chelsea, Connor and his wife Leah, Evan and his fiance Cristina, Neal and his partner Bella, Liam, Owen, Ryan, Adam, Tim, and Shannon and her partner Cody. The adoring great grandfather of Dominik, Jason, Maxine, James, William, Freya, Odin, and Theo. Al is the loving brother to Ruth Colman, the late Geraldine Pratt, the late Paul Jutras, the late Robert Jutras and his surviving wife Marie, and sisters-in-law Kay Durante and Betty Jutras. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Al was born to the late Jeffery Jutras and the late Juliette (Janelle) Jutras, on April 30th, 1932 in North Cambridge, Massachusetts. He graduated from Rindge Technical High school, class of 1949. Al was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps and was stationed in Korea during the war. After having attended Merrimack College, Al pursued a career in the packaging industry and ultimately retired as president of the Wetmore Company.

Al’s many contributions to his community included several years coaching youth sports. He was instrumental in starting the Stoneham youth basketball league, Biddy Basketball. As a long time Wakefield Elks member, he cooked for numerous functions.

Al had an abundance of hobbies such as cooking, fishing, gardening, golfing, watercolor painting, and rooting for Boston sports teams. He and Patsy enjoyed wonderful family vacations, most notably their time spent at St. Simons Island, Georgia.

Lastly, Al’s most precious time was spent with his loving family and many friends, and we will forever cherish those memories.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28), Stoneham on Tuesday, March 19th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Al’s Eternal life at St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Monday, March 18th, from 4pm to 7pm at the funeral home. Parking attendants and elevator available.
