Alberta M. Carney

Alberta M. (Kocher) Carney, of Reading, passed away on Friday April 6, 2012 at Melrose Wakefield Hospital.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Albert Kocher, Nora (Nee) Stearns and her husband William. Alberta was a warm and caring wife, loving mother and devoted grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Alberta was a proud volunteer at the Reading Food Pantry for several years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and crocheting.
Alberta was the beloved wife of William M. Carney. She was the devoted mother of William M. Jr., James A., Kathleen and Colleen. Alberta was the cherished grandmother of Brittany, Bridget, Megan, Melanie, Erin, Matthew and Kelly. She was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING Tuesday at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Alberta's Eternal Life in St. Agnes Church 186 Woburn St., Reading at 10:30am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Monday from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available. Interment Wood End Cemetery, Reading.
