Alfred L. Drown of Stoneham, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Winchester Hospital. He was 91 years of age.
Born in Somerville, Alfred was the loving son of the late Harold L. Drown and Helen (Beeler) Drown. Alfred was a warm and caring son, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather and friend. He will be sorely missed.
Alfred was a dedicated Crane Operator for many years. He was a 70 year member of the Local 4 Crane Operators Union.
Alfred was the beloved husband of Catherine (Watt) Drown. He was the devoted father of Marilyn A. Gustin and her friend Ronald Kannheiser of Florida, Allan L. Drown and his wife Jacquelyn of Randolph. Alfred was the cherished grandfather of 7, great grandfather of 21 and great great grandfather of 1.
A Funeral Service celebrating Alfred's life will be held on Thursday at 10am in the Chapel of the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Wednesday 6-8pm. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
