Alfred C. Minghella, of Stoneham, passed away on Sunday December 9, 2018 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. He was 85 years of age.
Born in Stoneham, Alfred was the loving son of the late Vincenzo and Antrina (Mulinari) both from Italy.
Alfred was a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion in Stoneham and the Elks in Wakfield and President of the Marconi Club in Stoneham. He worked for the Town of Stoneham for many years as a heavy equipment operator and was also an auxiliary police officer for the town as well.
Alfred proudly defended our freedom as a member of the United States Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS Bordelon.
Alfred is the beloved husband of Suzanne (Martin) Minghella. He is the loving brother of Madeline Lupo, Iolanda Wagner, Frank Minghella and the late Alfonso and Patrick Minghella. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. RT(28) STONEHAM Thursday December 13, 2018 at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Alfred's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 am.
Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Wednesday December 12th from 4 pm to 7 pm in the funeral home. Parking attendants and elevator available.
