Allen C. "Bud" Marks of Stoneham passed away on Tuesday July 13, 2004 at Bear Hill Nursing Center in Stoneham. He was 80 years of age.

Born in Everett, Bud was a longtime resident of Stoneham. Bud was the son of the late Francis Marks and Gretta (Thorlander) Marks.

Bud was a dedicated employee of the Stoneham School Department for many years. In his spare time, Bud loved watching sports, especially candlepin bowling; however, Bud's true love was for his family. During World War II, Bud proudly served our country as a Private First Class in the United States Army.

Bud was the beloved husband of 50 years to Phyllis L. (Mood) Marks. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 3, 2004. He was the devoted father of Eileen Glynn and her husband William of Whitman, John Nickerson and his wife Arlene of Londonderry, New Hampshire, Patricia Sullivan and her husband George of West Yarmouth, Judith Nicks of Pearl City Hawaii, Karen Castro and her husband Marcelo of Derry, New Hampshire. Bud was the cherished grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was the dear brother of the late Frances, Carl, Louise, Tina, Sue, Larry, Frank "Wink", and Nick, and the brother in law of Chickie Marks. Bud is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10am in the Chapel of the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Thursday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Chandler Gray Cemetery, Yarmouth.
