Alyssa Leeann Horton

Alyssa Leeann Horton of Reading passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 17, 2022.  She is 30 years of age.

Born on Sunday, June 21, 1992 in Winchester, Alyssa is the beloved daughter of Robert Horton and Sharon (Gilman) Horton.  Alyssa is a warm, gentle & kind daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, cousin and friend who will be deeply missed.

Alyssa is a longtime Reading resident, actively participating in Reading Pop Warner Cheerleading and a member of the RMHS class of 2010. Known to many as “Tish”, Alyssa enjoyed camping with friends and family at Jellystone Park, all things Boston Bruins and as the self-proclaimed taco queen especially Taco Tuesdays. Alyssa loved a night in snuggling with pets catching up on the latest episode of Grey’s Anatomy or watching One Tree Hill while snacking on Reese Sticks and trying the latest Taco recipe. Active in the community as a lifetime member of Moose Lodge 1511, chapter 492 in North Reading Alyssa will be deeply missed by many.

Alyssa is the cherished sister of Joseph McLauchlan and his wife Danielle, Andrew McLauchlan and his wife Andrea and Sean Horton.  The dear granddaughter of Donna Horton and her late husband Gerald, Barbara Gilman and her late husband Arthur, Alyssa is the devoted aunt of Caroline, Liam, Joseph Jr., Nova, Davina, twins Gianna & Landon, Lily, Owen and Aleah.  She is also lovingly survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Alyssa’s Family on Friday, July 22^nd from 4-7pm in the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden Street READING.  Casual attire only, parking attendants and elevator are available.
