Amy E. (Cook) Cosman

Amy E. (Cook) Cosman of Stoneham, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at Winchester Hospital. She was 96 years of age.
Born on June 13, 1919 in Canada, Amy was the loving daughter of the late Amos Cook and Ida (Carter) Cook. Amy was a warm and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Amy was married to Francis Cosman on June 28, 1940. They lived for many years in Dorchester before moving to Barnstead, New Hampshire. As they got older, they moved to Stoneham to be closer to family. They enjoyed the summers at the lake and took many trips around New England. They also enjoyed the fall foliage.

In her later years, she enjoyed parties, holidays and cookouts with family and grandchildren. Amy also enjoyed bus trips with the Senior Center.

Amy was the beloved wife of the late Francis Cosman. She was the devoted mother of Ethel Marie Cosman of Raymond, New Hampshire, Francis Cosman and Amy Taranti and her husband Tom, all of Stoneham. The cherished grandmother of Lisa Bourrell and her husband Dennis, Thomas Taranti Jr. and his wife Denise, Michael Taranti and his wife Danielle, Amy was also the great grandmother of Kacie, Kayla, Destiny, Christopher, Brandon, and Rebecca. She was the dear sister of Peggy Nelson, Phillis Sforza and the late Dorothy Costa, Lucy Shepard, Ailey Err, George Cook, Butch Cook, Edwin Cook, Joe Cook, Charlie Cook and Robert Cook.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Thursday, May 26th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Amy's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Wednesday, May 25th from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
