Andrew Henry Carroll died peacefully on February 6 at Winchester Hospital. He was born in Charlestown in 1918. He is survived by his two loving daughters, Tracy Berry and Holly Carroll-Cachimuel, his daughter-in-law, Maggie Carroll, his four grandchildren Richard Berry, Jr., Cindy Wilson, and Thalia and Taquina Cachimuel, and his three great-grandchildren, Caitlynn, Courtney, and Chrystyn Wilson. He was the husband of the late Marion Carroll and adored father of his son, the late Andrew Carroll, Jr.
Andrew Carroll was a 22-year veteran and served as an officer in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He felt it was an honor to serve his country and its democratic ideals. He worked at the U.S. Post Office for many years. As an avid sports fan, a professional highlight for him was his forty-eight years as an usher for the TD Bank North Garden He enjoyed every moment and every game.
He is fondly remembered for his support of his family, his passion for athletics, and his strong spirit and courage.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Monday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Andrew's life in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Sunday, 3-7pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
