He was the proud and loving grandfather of Steve Nelson and his wife, Emma, Jay Nelson, and Nicholas Federico, and the cherished grandfather of the late Jon Gabriel Nelson.
He was the dear brother of Eva Tiberi Restaino and the late Pasquale Tiberi. He is also lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends in Italy, Canada, and the United States.
Aniello will be remembered for his unwavering love of family, his strong work ethic, his quiet strength, and the kindness he showed to everyone he met. He took great pride in tending his beautiful vegetable garden and the many fruit trees he lovingly cared for over the years. His gardens, his wine, and the meals shared around his table reflected the love, generosity, and pride he took in caring for those he loved. His legacy of love, sacrifice, and devotion to his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
In accordance with his wishes, funeral services will be held in Italy. A Memorial Mass celebrating Aniello’s life will be held later this summer at St. Patrick Church in Stoneham. Details will be announced at a later date.
