Ann M. (McNichol) Toland-Cooper of Wakefield, formerly of Somerville and Stoneham passed away on May 12, 2012 from pneumonia. Devoted mother of Kristine Gogos and her husband John of Medford and AnnMarie Toland-Francey and her husband Kenneth of Malden. Step mother of Michael Wallace Cooper. Cherished grandmother of Michael Shehadi, Kevin and Keith Francey. Longtime friend of Anna Shehadi of Somerville. Also survived by many loving friends.
Ann had dedicated her life to volunteer work. Her passion was wholeheartedly with the Somerville Boxing Club. Ann had also given her time to the Telephone Pioneers, the Arthritis Foundation's Mini Grand Prix and the Special Olympics.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Saturday at 10 am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Ann's Eternal Life in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville at 11am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Friday from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ann's honor to the Somerville Boxing Club, 11 Otis St., Somerville, MA 02145.
