Anna A. (Matyka) Anderson of Stoneham passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at her home. She was 79 years of age.
Born in Boston, Anna was the loving daughter of the late Mitchell Matyka and Wanda (Gurka) Matyka. Anna was a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be sorely missed.
Anna was kind and gentle woman who loved gambling and playing bingo. She grew up in South Boston, graduating from South Boston High School. She loved the Red Sox. Anna was a pioneer of New England Telephone.
Anna was the beloved wife of the late Alvan L. Anderson. She was the devoted mother of Nancy Anderson, Judy Ferracane and Joyce Morales. Anna was the cherished grandmother of 5 and great grandmother of 2. She was the dear sister of 3 siblings.
A Funeral Service celebrating Anna's life will be held on Saturday at 11am in the Chapel of the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting Hours, Friday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be available. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
