Anna Marie (Polvere) DePinto of Stoneham passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Winchester Hospital. She was 88 years of age.
Born on July 2, 1932 in Boston, Ann is the loving daughter of the late Donatangelo Polvere and Maria (D'Antonio) Polvere. Ann is a warm, kind and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Ann is the beloved wife of the late Francis J. "Frank" DePinto. She is the devoted mother of John DePinto, Frances Carino and her husband John, Donato DePinto, Annette Slattery and her husband Christopher, Francis DePinto, Jr. and his wife Jackie and Anthony DePinto. The cherished grandmother of 18 and doting great grandmother of 12, Ann is the dear sister of Theresa Tempesta and Viola Orlando and her husband Anthony. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Ann went to work for Hayes-Bickford after high school. As the years passed, she became a loving wife to Frank and a devoted mother to her six children. Her days were filled with creating a warm and nurturing home filled with laughter and love. Daily activities could include school, sports, PTA, Girl Scouts, dancing school, instruments, and Mother's Club. Her home was open and welcoming to all family and friends. Ann was an amazing cook who openly shared her cooking talents with her children and their spouses. She was renowned for her "mile high" apple pie and Sunday "gravy".
Ann's never-ending love and support to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren remained constant throughout her life. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her such joy. Nana's home was a place of great storytelling, warmth, laughter, and fun. She taught them all the fine art of scratching a lottery ticket.
Travelling with Ann's family brought her such happiness. Vacations in NH and Cape Cod created happy memories that lasted a lifetime. Ann's sisters, brothers-in-law and friends also filled her life with memorable times. Places they visited together included Hawaii, Italy, Las Vegas, Aruba, and Foxwoods. Salisbury Beach was the annual summer residence where aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews gathered to create some of her most cherished moments.
Ann gave a sense of belonging and family unity that will be greatly missed by all.
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Ann's Family on Wednesday, May 5th from 8:30am - 9:15am in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
