Anna (Tricca) "Lucy" Allen

Anna Lucy (Tricca) Allen of Stoneham passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026. She was 92 years of age.

Lucy was a kind, loyal, caring and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Born in 1933, Lucy was the loving daughter of the late Joseph Tricca and Mary (Gagliordone) Tricca, who immigrated to the United States from the Abruzzo region of Italy. Lucy was immensely proud of her Italian heritage; she maintained loving relationships with her cousins and relatives in Italy, and took care to pass down Italian traditions to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Lucy graduated from Girls Catholic High School in Malden in 1951 and went on to graduate from Fisher Junior College in Boston in 1953. She worked as an administrative assistant for several companies making many friends along the way. She was most proud of her 11 years at Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she worked assisting professors and students until her retirement in 1995.

Lucy married her husband Larry in 1956 and they eventually settled in Stoneham where they raised their four children, and later proudly welcomed 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Lucy was devoted to her family. She had a passion for cooking, and enjoyed hosting family and friends in her home. No one ever left hungry!

Lucy is the beloved wife of the late Lawrence Allen. She is the cherished mother of John Allen, Timothy Allen and his fiance Nadiya Axiotakis, Robert Allen and his wife Maureen Chasson, and Laurie Twohig and her husband Michael. Loving grandmother of Joseph Allen and his wife Alyssa, Shauna Twohig and her fiancé Kevin Taylor, Jason Allen and his wife Holly, Megan (Twohig) Pogue and her husband Taylor, Michael Allen, Samantha Allen, Jillian (Allen) Robillard and her husband Jake, Peter Allen and his wife Kalie, Patrick Twohig and Elizabeth Allen. Great grandmother of Madison, Brynlee, Mia, Eli, Blake, Chloe, Chase and Emery. Dear sister of the late Dorothy Tricca.
