Anna R. (Arsenault) "Auntie" Colannino of Stoneham, formerly of Wakefield passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Woodbriar of Wilmington. She was 92 years of age.
Born on February 4, 1922 in Reading, Auntie was the loving daughter of the late John Arsenault and Mary (Doucette) Arsenault. Auntie was a warm and caring daughter, sister, aunt and great aunt. She will be missed by all who were privileged to have known her.
Auntie was a graduate of Reading High School in the class of 1941. She was very family focused. Auntie loved to crochet and do needlepoint. The life of the party, Auntie never turned down an invitation to see her family and friends. She was known as the family historian. Her family was first and foremost in her life. Anna was a loving and caring auntie to many, but was considered a mother by all.
Auntie was the beloved wife of the late John A. Colannino. She was the dear sister of Agnes McDonald and her late husband Joseph, Jean Donovan and the late Rose Houle and her husband Leo, Leo Arsenault and his wife Kay, Lawrence Arsenault, James Arsenault and his wife Nancy, Rita Arsenault and her husband Ron, David Arsenault and Walter Arsenault. Auntie was the loving sister in law of Geri Arsenault and Shirley Arsenault. Survived by 23 loving nieces and nephews, auntie was predeceased by 7 nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Auntie's Eternal Life in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave. Wakefield at 10:30am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Tuesday, December 16th, 2014 from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and ramped entrance are available. Interment Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
