Anne E. Barrett of Reading passed away on Friday, December 01, 2006 at Woburn Nursing Center in Woburn. She was 80 years of age.
Born in Taunton, Anne was a longtime resident of Reading. She was a graduate of Reading Memorial High School in the class of 1943 and she graduated from Emmanuel College in 1947. Anne was the Past Grand Regent of The Catholic Daughters of Reading. Anne was a wonderful woman who enjoyed traveling and entertaining guests at her home. An avid Red Sox fan, Anne had season tickets to Fenway Park.
Anne was the beloved sister of Sr. Mary Bernadetti-Barrett S.N.D. of Wakefield, Robert F. Barrett and his wife Lucretia of Reading and the late Reverend Daniel J. Barrett. She was the dear aunt of Mary E. Gormley of Lowell, Jane C. McConnell of Wakefield, Lucretia Zerfas and Nancy M. Hinds, both of Reading. Anne was also survived by 11 grandnieces and grandnephews and 1 great grandnephew.
Funeral from the Joseph Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Tuesday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Anne's life in St. Joseph's Church, 173 Albion St. Wakefield at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Monday 3-7pm. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot located behind Atlantic Supermarket on Haven St. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Winchester.
