Anthony R. Carbone

CARBONE, Anthony R. of Reading, died May 26, 2012 after a long illness. He is survived by his loving wife Mary (Whippen) Carbone and his three children and their spouses, Robert of Reading, Joanne Tedesco of Reading, and Kevin of Portland, Oregon. He also leaves five loving grandchildren, Allyson Carbone Flood, Kristen Alicea, Sarah Carbone, John Robert Tedesco and Stephanie Tedesco, and two great granddaughters. He leaves a brother, Richard Carbone of Woburn, and many nieces and nephews. A graduate of Northeastern University, he received Master's and PhD degrees from Boston College. He taught at St. Bonaventure University, Merrimack College and Massachusetts Bay Community College, where he was Chairman of the Division of Business Administration from 1961 to 1973. He then returned to full time teaching and was chairman of the accounting department. For several years after his retirement, he was an adjunct professor at UMass Lowell. US Army Veteran, WWII. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Tuesday from 3-7pm in the Funeral Home.
