Anthony, fondly known as Tony was born to Charles and Lillian LaRosa on January 11, 1941 in Everett, MA. Growing up he was part of a close knit Italian family that instilled in him the values of love, compassion & hard work. Throughout his life, he cherished his family above all else. Tony was a talented athlete in his youth who loved playing all sports especially baseball which he played for both Everett High School and Northeastern University. Shortly after graduating college, he met the love of his life Sandra at the French Club in Everett, MA. The two were happily married for over 56 years. Together, they built a beautiful life raising 3 children, Lillian, Charles and Denise. Tony adored his grandchildren, Kyle, Luana, Kevin, Caitlyn, Charles and Joseph, and took great joy in watching them grow and thrive.
Tony started his career as a High School business math teacher at Dorchester High School where he worked for over 38 years. Soon after he and Sandra purchased their first home in Malden, MA and 8 years later moved to their forever home in Stoneham MA. In addition to being an educator, he built a successful family painting business that lasted over 40 years. Tony's crew was a unique cast of characters composed of his brothers, brother-in-law, cousins, friends and basically anyone who could lift a paintbrush! Tony would eventually recruit his son Charles and many of his close friends expanding this fraternity where existing relationships were strengthened and new bonds were formed. During both of his careers, Tony made a positive impact on the lives of many while at the same time he mentored countless individuals who later went on to start their own successful painting businesses.
Tony was a soft spoken, mild mannered yet spiritual man who enjoyed spending free time with his family and friends. For fun he enjoyed watching sports, physical fitness, days on the beach & listening to music. Tony was an avid reader as well as a self taught stock market enthusiast who enjoyed learning about new investment opportunities in order to build a better future for his family.
