Anthony A. Marek

Anthony A. Marek of Stoneham, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Winchester Hospital. He was 95 years of age.
Born in Suffield, Connecticut, Anthony was the loving son of the late Andrew Marek and Tekla (Bednaz) Marek.
A United States Army Veteran of World War II, Mr. Marek was the owner of Norwood Carpet and Linoleum from the early 1950s to the 1970s.
Anthony was the beloved husband for 64 years of Della M. (McDonald) Marek. He was the devoted father of Linda Howe and her husband Gary of Vermont, Marla McKalliffe and her husband Paul of Kingston and Dana Marek and his wife Colleen of Stoneham. Anthony was the cherished grandfather of Steven Marek and his wife Katie, Nicole and Jessica Marek, all of Stoneham. He was the dear brother of Wallace Marek of Connecticut, Felix Marek and his wife Margaret of Westfield, Jenny Hallenbeck and her husband Byron of Connecticut. Anthony was also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Saturday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Anthony's life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours, Friday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
