Anthony J. Nazzaro

March 17, 1926 — January 8, 2005

Anthony J. Nazzaro Sr. of Stoneham, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on January 8, 2005.





Born in Malden, Anthony was a longtime resident of Stoneham. He was the son of the late Antonio Nazzaro and Rosa (Berardi) Nazzaro. Anthony was an adored son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.





Anthony was a dedicated heavy equipment operator for Warren Brothers for many years. He was a loyal member of the Local 4 Heavy Equipment Operators Union. Anthony loved his family. They were first and foremost in his life. During World War II, Anthony proudly served our country in the United States Navy.





Anthony was the beloved husband of the late Emily (Visocchi) Nazzaro. He was the devoted father of Donna Tamburrini and her husband John of Stoneham, Anthony Nazzaro and his wife Marie of Richmond, Virginia. Anthony was the cherished grandfather of John Tamburrini, the step grandfather of Michael and Jeneine Pretopapa and the loving great grandfather of Destiny. He was the dear brother of Frank Nazzaro and his wife Lucy of Everett, Josephine Correggio and her late husband Dom of Everett, Anna Cirino and her late husband Edward of California, Lucy Masiello and her late husband Pasquale of Malden and Rose Vitale and her late husband Joseph of Malden. Anthony was the brother in law of Alfreda Buccheri of Stoneham, Elsie Pacitto of Medford, Eleanor and Frank Valente of Stoneham, Kitty and Arthur DiDonatis of Wakefield, Michael and Eleanor Visocchi of Stoneham. He was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and special friends.





Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Thursday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Anthony's life in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Wednesday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
