Anthony L. "Tony" Covino

Anthony L. "Tony" Covino of Billerica, formerly of Stoneham for 30 years passed away peacefully with all his family with him on July 12, 2020. He was 78 years of age.

Tony was the loving husband of his wife Maria (Bevilacqua) Covino for 55 years and an amazing Dad to his three Children, Anthony Covino Jr. and his wife Paula, Carolyn Chronister and her husband Harry and Matthew Covino. He was a proud Papa to his three grandchildren Nicole and Carly Chronister and Julian Covino. Tony was a loving son to the late Anthony and Aida Covino and a dedicated brother to both the late Louis and Robert Covino. He also adored his many cousins, nieces, nephews and late family who he spent many years of wonderful memories with, as well as his infinite amount of friends, colleagues and acquaintances.

Tony retired in 2010 from his lifelong career with Louis Covino & Sons of Medford which he and his cousin and partner Earnie Covino Jr. proudly continued the legacy of their fathers' dreams and hard work since 1935. He will be truly missed.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Tony's family on Thursday, July 16th from 10am – 12:30pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Face coverings must be worn, and guests are required to follow safe social distancing guidelines per Massachusetts regulations. A private funeral service will be held at 1pm. Family and friends are then again invited to join Tony's family at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford for his burial.
