Antoinetta Rose Busa

October 4, 1933 — June 30, 2013

Antoinetta Rose (Gigante) Busa, of Woburn, formerly of Italy, passed away on Sunday June 30, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 79 years old.



Antoinetta came to America at age 3 with her parents and older sisters Mary and Angie. She was only one of John and Scolastica's five children to have been born in Italy. Her father John Gigante enlisted in U.S. Army during WWI and became a naturalized citizen under U.S. Soldiers and Sailors Act of 1918.



Antoinetta was a graduate of Stoneham High School. She worked for Marilyn Sandal Corp. on Main St. in downtown Stoneham where she met David Busa. They married on November 28, 1954.



She was a devoted wife and stay at home mom, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking family meals and Italian family holiday traditions at her home.



Antoinetta was the beloved wife of the late David G. Busa. She was the devoted mother of Maria E. Morey and her husband Jack, and David G. Busa Jr. Loving grandmother of Kristina A. Iljazi and her husband Ilir, Allison L. Sammel and her husband Robert, Matthew D. Busa, Sarah E. Busa and her fiance Andrew Cote, Laura M. Busa. She was the cherished great grandmother of Leila, Ilir and Jeton Iljazi, Ausin Tyler and Savannah Rose Sammel, and Dominic G. Cote. Dear sister of John Gigante and his wife Joan, Anthony Gigante and his wife Sandra and the late Mary Lucci and her husband Dominic, Angelina (Angie) Caiado and her husband Arthur. Daughter of the late John Gigante and Scolastica (Gigante). Sister in law of Patricia Westwater, Betty, Alice and Lizzie Busa. Life long friend of Shirley Zimmerman. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.



Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Service Celebrating Antoinetta's Eternal Life in the Chapel of the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM Wednesday at 12pm.



Visiting Hours will be held prior to the service from 10am-12pm. Valet parking and handicapped entrance available. Interment Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
