Antonia M. (Longo) Evangelista of Medford passed away on Monday, June 10, 2013 in Stoneham. She was 99 years of age.
Born in Cassino, Italy Antonia was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Loreta (Torrice) Evangelista. Antonia was a warm and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved her family. She also loved cooking, gardening and her home. She will be sadly missed.
Antonia was the beloved wife of the late Giovanni Evangelista. She was the devoted mother of Lucia Evangelista and her husband Claudio, Fernando Evangelista and his wife Rosalie, Carmela Colozzo and her husband Joseph, Frances Encalada and her husband Joseph and Joanna Murphy and her husband Edward. She was the cherished grandmother of 14, great grandmother of 19, great great grandmother of 2. Antonia was predeceased by 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 8 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Antonia's Eternal Life in St. Joseph Church, 114 High Street, Medford at 9 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Friday, June 14, 2013 from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and handicapped elevator are available. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Please honor Antonia by making donations in her memory to All Care Hospice 210 Market St. Lynn, MA 01901.
