Antonietta Sclafani, of Stoneham, passed away peacefully on Monday April 11, 2022 with her family by her side. She was 77 years of age.
Born in Sciacca, Sicily. Antonietta was the daughter of the late Vincenzo Sclafani and Antonietta (Curreri) Sclafani.
Antonietta enjoyed spending her time with her family. She doted over her 3 grandchildren, Luca, Alessandro & Massimo. She loved cooking and baking for them, especially her famous cookies " Tricolore " Antonietta was an amazing cook, who enjoyed whipping up meals at a moments notice for her family and friends. Her home was always open for a cup of coffee or a home cooked meal. Antonietta worked for over 30 years as a seamstress at Tina's Tailor shop in Stoneham, where she enjoyed her time with her work family and her passion for sewing.
Her joy in life besides her family was spending time in her garden along side her husband. Antonietta was a very positive person who was always happy with a contagious laugh known by all who knew her. She lived her life selflessly, always thinking of others and respected by all.
Antonietta was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Antonietta is the beloved wife of Saverio Sclafani of 53 years. She is the devoted mother of Daniela Pennino and her husband Carlo of Stoneham and the late Salvatore Sclafani. She is the cherished Nonna of Luca, Alessandro and Massimo Pennino. Dear sister of Benuccia Sclafani and her late husband Gaetano, Matteo Sclafani and his wife Cherina of Sciacca, Sicily. Brother in law of Luciano Sclafani and his wife Rosa Sclafani of Everett. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and close friends.
Family and friends are kindly invited to gather and share memories with the family on Tuesday April 19, 2022 from 8 am to 9:30 am in the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT28) STONEHAM followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Antonietta's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 am. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
