Aquilino Petrillo

Aquilino Petrillo of Stoneham passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013 in his home peacefully surrounded by his family, grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews. He was 65 years of age.





Born in Montemiletto Avellino, Italy He was the son of the late Roberto and Iolanda Petrillo. The dear brother of Grace Dello'Iacono of Swampscott, Achille of Revere, Amorino of Italy, and Silvio of Stoneham. He is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.





Aquilino came to the US with the clothes on his back, shoes on his feet and the money he had in his pocket. Right away he found work as a mason and began his new life. A life that brought him his beloved wife of 37 years, Vincenzina Petrillo.





Aquilino and Vincenzina began their family and together wanted the best for their children. He was the devoted father of Frank Petrillo and wife Anita, and Lisa Armata and her husband Salvatore, all of Stoneham. Through the years he took his son under his wing and established Petrillo & Son Corporation, a masonry, landscaping and site work company. A passion for the job and working together was something they shared.





Aquilino was a man who always valued his family. A man who was proud of his children in everything they accomplished. He was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, brother in law, and friend. He shared a special bond with each of his five grandchildren. Dante, Mario and Alessia Armata and Olivia and Gabriella Petrillo. The name Nonno will forever be in their hearts. He will be sadly missed.





Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Saturday February 16th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Aquilino's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham at 10 am.





Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Friday February 15th from 4-8 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants will be available.





Interment St. Patrick Cemetery Stoneham.
