Attilio "Arthur" LaVita

Attilio “Arthur” LaVita of Reading passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, August 16th, 2025. He is 95 years of age.

Born on Wednesday, October 23, 1929 in Everett, Arthur is the loving son of the late Joseph LaVita and Nicoleta (DeSisto) LaVita. Arthur is a warm, kind, gentle & loyal son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed.

Arthur is the beloved husband of Marcia (Poock) LaVita. He is the devoted father of Matthew LaVita and his wife Amy and Jason LaVita and his wife Jodi. The cherished grandfather of Matthew, Hannah, Alban, Sarah, Natalya & Sophia, Arthur is the dear brother of Bernard LaVita and Joseph LaVita. He is also lovingly survived by his cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass Celebrating Arthur’s Eternal Life will be held on Wednesday, August 20th at 11am in Saint Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. READING. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories from 10am-11am in the Church. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
