Augustin R. Eovine

Augustin R. Eovine of Stoneham passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Care One in Wilmington. He was 82 years of age.

Born on July 28, 1936 in Somerville, Augustin was the loving son of the late Larby C. and Anna Eovine. Augustin was a warm and caring son, brother, uncle, neighbor and friend. He will be truly missed.

Augustin grew up in Somerville before moving to Stoneham for the past 40 years. He loved golf, fishing, tennis and going to race tracks. He was proud to have ran in several Boston Marathons. During the Korean War, Gus proudly defended our freedom by serving in the United States Army. He had a successful career in advertising with Commercial Union then later he went on to open his own marketing firm.

Augustin was the beloved brother of Anthony Eovine and his wife Ruth, Richard Eovine and his wife Helen, Robert Eovine and his wife Carol, Marilyn Rissin and her husband Louis, Diane Eovine and the late Sue Comperchio and the late Michael Eovine. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass Celebrating Augustin's Eternal Life will be held on Saturday, February 16th at 10am in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. STONEHAM. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family prior to the Mass from 8am – 9:30am in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Interment is private
