Barbara A. (Cavanaugh) Barrett

Barbara A. (Cavanaugh) Barrett of Pepperell formerly of Reading passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. She was 86 years of age.

Born on Saturday, January 4, 1936 in Charlestown, Barbara is the loving daughter of the late James Cavanaugh and Mary (Burke) Cavanaugh. Barbara is a warm and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Barbara is the beloved wife of the late Thomas "Bobby" Barrett. She is the devoted mother of Thomas Barrett Jr. and his wife Diane, John Barrett and his wife Doreen, Patty Corriveau and her husband Michael and the late Ruth Catalanotto and her late husband David. The cherished grandmother of Nicholas and Caitlin Catalanotto, Brian, Brendan and Bridget Barrett, Patricia Brewer and Allison Walsh, Barbara is the dear sister of Donald Cavanaugh, Ruth Parrin, Patricia O'Donnell, Dorothy O'Keefe, Carol Cavanaugh and the late James, Bernard, Joseph, Richard and William Cavanaugh, Mary Oulette, Gertrude Doucette and Joan Cavanaugh. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service Celebrating Barbara's Eternal Life will be held on Friday, March 18th at 12pm in the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Barbara's Family prior to the Service beginning at 10am. Masks and/or face coverings are required when visiting the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
