Barbara A. (Dulong) Button of Wakefield passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 85 years of age.
Barbara was born on March 20, 1930 in Wakefield. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Barbara was employed with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 22 years. Her passions included reading, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family and especially playing with her grandchildren. She also loved to travel, and especially loved her trip to Hawaii. In years past, vacations were enjoyed at the summer home in Maine. Barbara was a very generous woman. Everyone would remark about what a lovely lady she was. Most of all, Barbara will be remembered for her love of laughter.
Barbara is the beloved and devoted mother of daughter Linda B. Carter and her husband, Paul, Donna M. Woodland, Charlene A. Kalivas and her companion Edwin Morgan, Timothy A. Button and his wife Joan, Danielle J. Marifiote and the late Warren C. Button. She is the cherished grandmother of 16 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 14. Barbara is the former wife of Charles W. Button.
Funeral from the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Thursday, August 27th, at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Barbara's Eternal Life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. Reading at 10:30am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Wednesday, August 26th from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and ramped entrance are available. Interment Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
