Bernadette J. (Morris) "Jeannie" Griffin

Bernadette J. (Morris) "Jeannie" Griffin of Sagamore Beach passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2021. She was 76 years of age.

Born on December 30, 1944 in Long Beach, California, Jeannie is the loving daughter of the late Bernard Morris and Jeannette (DiStasio) Morris. Jeannie is a warm and kind daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, great aunt and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Jeannie had many titles. There are so many people in her life whom she cared about and who cared about her. In later years she had a best friend and constant companion in her dog Coco. Her life was full of joys and also hardships. Jeannie's wonderful son, Barney, was her greatest joy.

She had many interests that kept a younger Jeannie very busy. She loved antiques and she and Ed had their own antique shop for many years. She also did some amazing work with stained glass and created wonderful pieces for friends and family. When life slowed down a bit, Jeannie took up jewelry design where she exhibited extraordinary creativity.

Jeannie will be missed and dearly remembered by those who loved her.

Jeannie is the beloved wife of the late Edward Griffin. She is the devoted mother of the late Bernard Scott Cunningham. The dear sister of Patricia A. Breen and her husband Henry "Buzzy", and Ted A. Morris and his wife Karen, Jeannie is the cherished aunt of Carrie Caskey, Brian Morris, Henry Breen and Patricia Breen. She is the caring great aunt of Steven Morris, Theo Morris, Spencer Caskey, Jaiden Caskey and Maximus Morris.

Funeral from the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING, Wednesday, June 30th at 9:30am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Jeannie's Eternal Life in St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St. Reading at 10:30am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Jeannie's Family on Tuesday, June 29th from 6-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
