Bernard J. Wolfe of Reading passed away on Friday, February 9, 2007 at Wingate at Reading. He was 90 years of age.





Born in Cambridge, Bernard was the dear son of the late George Wolfe and Maria (Carter) Wolfe. Bernard was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, neighbor and friend. He will be sadly missed.





Bernard was a dedicated welder for General Electric for many years. He was devoted to his family. They were first and foremost in his life. Bernard loved the ocean. He prided himself on the fact that he built his own 33' boat all by himself. Bernard was a nature lover who enjoyed reading and playing tennis. During the Great Depression, he proudly served in the Civilian Conversation Corps for 2 years.





Bernard was the beloved husband for 55 years of Phyllis (Morse) Wolfe. He was the devoted father of Tammie Call and her husband Mike of Merrimack, New Hampshire and Lahneen Visco and her husband Tom of Saugus. Bernard was the cherished grandfather of Stacie and Spencer Call. He was pre deceased by 7 brothers and sisters.
