Bernardo Della Porta

Bernardo Della Porta age 77 of Stoneham passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024 with family by his side. He was beloved husband to Maria Assunta Della Porta and loving father to Alfredo and Monica Della Porta. Benardo is survived by his sister-in-law Geraldine Musto; brother-in-laws Antonio Musto and Claude Petrillo; nieces Erika Georgacopoulos and Melissa Musto; his siblings in Italy and predeceased by his mother-in-law Lucrezia Petrillo.

Born in Montemiletto Italy on June 15, 1947, “Benny” cherished and enjoyed his time with family, friends, and colleagues here and overseas. Although his story is not unique, he made it his own and loved everyone along the way:

From the hills of Italy, his journey began,

A boy with dreams, a bold young man.

Across the ocean to Belmar’s shore,

With wife in hand and first son born.

Embraced New England with all his heart,

Stoneham now home, a brand-new start

With son and daughter and laughter near,

He built a world he held so dear.

Briscola and cars, golf and good food,

Travel and sports, that lifted his mood.

Patriots and Red Sox, his teams to cheer,

A man of passion we held so dear.

Though he now rests, his story lives on,

In every sunset, in every dawn.

We bid you farewell, but not goodbye,

For love transcends the earth and the sky.
