Beverly A. (Ellis) Wright of Reading, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at age 92. Beverly is the beloved wife of the late, Edward C. Wright (deceased 2007), with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. She is the devoted mother of Patricia Wright-Etchings, Ann Descoteaux and her husband David, Ellen Mich, and her husband James and Matthew Wright, his wife Marijane. The loving Grandmother of Mark Descoteaux and his wife Alicia, Michael and James Descoteaux, Kristen Etchings-VanLier and her husband Michael, Megan Etchings, Tyler, Jake and Nicole Mich, and Brogan and Liam Wright, Beverly is the cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews on both the Ellis and Wright sides of the family.
Beverly was born January 1, 1929, raised and married in Reading where she spent most of her years. Beverly loved writing poetry and published her work in a collection named "The Making of a Woman". She enjoyed the written word so much that even in her 70's – 80's she went to take English college courses.
A very religious woman, she enjoyed attending retreats at various catholic cenacles and centers throughout New England. The Cenacle in Brighton, MA and Eastern Point in Gloucester, MA were two of her favorites.
Beverly worked as a bookkeeper for Wood and Metal Furniture in Reading right out of High School, married in 1951, raised a family of 4 children, was an active, faithful member of her church St. Agnes Parish, volunteered in her hometown and surrounding community and shared her genuine love for life with family and friends throughout her life.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Agnes Church on Saturday, February 6th at 10:30am. PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO CHURCH. Covid protocols will be followed. Interment Forest Glen Cemetery.
A celebration of Beverly's life will be held at a later date.
