Brian Scott Reopell of Tewksbury, formerly of Stoneham and Dorchester, passed away on Wednesday, January 4th 2023. He was 63 years of age.
Born on October 18th, 1959 in Albany, New York, Brian was the loving son of George Reopell and Elizabeth (Flynn) Reopell. Brian was a warm, kind, loyal, loving, and selfless son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, godfather, cousin and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Brian is survived by and will be missed by his adoring wife Patricia (Callahan) Reopell. He was the devoted father of Thomas Reopell and his wife Michelle (Arsenault), and Matthew Reopell and his wife Amanda (Goff). He was the cherished grandfather (Papa) to Catherine and Jackson Reopell. Brian was the brother of Stephen Reopell (deceased), Holly (Reopell) Albanese, Barry Reopell, Jeffrey Reopell, and Robyn Reopell (deceased). Brian is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and god children.
Brian and his wife Patricia moved to Stoneham in 1986 where they lived for over 30 years before moving to Tewksbury. Over those 3 decades they remained very involved in their children’s lives and the community that surrounded them. It would have been very common to see them both at their sons basketball games through the 90’s and supporting their sons athletics and theater productions at Stoneham High School. Brian, along with his wife, had a real love for music and theater and the arts. They would routinely see musical productions and musical acts that came to Boston.
Family was always first and foremost in Brian’s life. If he ever found out that someone needed something or that he could assist a family member in need he jumped on that opportunity, no questions asked, with zero expectation of reciprocation.
Brian and his loving smile and laugh will be missed by all those who were lucky enough to be graced with it.
Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Brian’s Family on Friday, January 13th from 11-2pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Parking attendants and elevator are available.
