Brian Swanson of Westborough formerly of Reading passed away on Friday, November 20, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer at the Kalpan House in Danvers. He was 36 years old.
Born in Winchester, Brian was the beloved son of Rita (Doherty) and Arvid Swanson of Reading. Brian was a warm and caring son, husband, father, brother, nephew and friend. He will be deeply missed.
Brian was a graduate of Malden Catholic High School, UMass Amherst and Suffolk University Law School. He worked as an attorney. Brian was a lifelong Notre Dame fan.
Brian was the loving husband of Kathleen (Cronin) Swanson and their daughter Meredith. Brother of David Swanson and his wife Julie of Reading and Elizabeth Peden and her husband Jeff of Tewksbury. Son-in-law of William and Patricia (Lester) Cronin and Brother-in-law of Kristine Morrison and her husband Wayne, Daniel Cronin and his wife Christina and William Cronin and his wife Carrie. Brian is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Doherty-Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING, Wednesday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Brian's Life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St., Reading at 10 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Monday from 3-7 pm and Tuesday from 4-8 pm in the funeral home. Parking is available in the municipal parking lot on Linden St. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Tewksbury.
