Carl P. Vaccaro

July 8, 1929 — September 25, 2008

Carl P. Vaccaro of Malden passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at The Winchester Hospital in Winchester. He was 79 years of age.





Born in Boston, Carl was the loving son of the late Angelo Vaccaro and Santa (Cinardo) Vaccaro. Carl was a warm and caring husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed.





Carl was a graduate of Malden High School and Northeastern University. Carl was a member of the Malden High School Golden Tornado Club Hall of Fame, he was inducted in 2004 and also a member of the Mount Vernon Galilean Lodge of Masons in Malden. He was active the Reading Senior Center.





During the Korean War, Carl proudly defended our freedom by serving in the United States Marine Corps.





Carl was the beloved husband of the late Maryjane (Collins) Vaccaro. He was the devoted father of Carlynn Rice and her husband Skip of Reading and Robert Vaccaro, Sr. and his wife Marjorie of Manchester, New Hampshire. Carl was the cherished grandfather of Skip Rice and his wife Anila of Germany, Robert Vaccaro, Jr. and Kristin Powers, Ryan Vaccaro and his wife Shawna all of Manchester, New Hampshire. He was the loving great grandfather of Cailynn Jane Rice. Carl was the dear brother of Blanche Black of East Bridgewater. Carl was the brother -in-law Eleanor Hennessey and her husband James of Malden. He was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and his friends from the Reading Senior Center.





A Funeral Service celebrating Carl's life will be held on Thursday at 11 am in the Chapel of the Joseph Doherty - Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden Street, READING. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Wednesday from 4-8 pm. Parking is available in the Municipal Parking Lot on Linden St. Interment Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
