Carmelo Magazzu

October 3, 1944 — September 19, 2007

Carmelo Magazzu of Stoneham, formerly of Somerville, passed away Wednesday September 19, 2007 at his home. He was 62 years of age.





Born in Messina, Italy, Carmelo was the beloved son of Salvatore and the late Giuseppina (Casale) Magazzu of Medford. He was a loving and caring son, husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend. He will be remembered as a man who "lived his life with friendship and love for all" and touched the lives of everyone he met. He will be sadly missed.





Carmelo was the owner of Somerville Foreign Car Center and an active member of the Appian Club of Stoneham.





Carmelo was the beloved husband of Annamaria (Rubini) Magazzu. He was the loving father of Pina Magazzu, Lucy Davis and her husband Todd and Sal Magazzu all of Stoneham and the cherished grandfather of Michaela, Joshua and Jillian Davis. He was the brother of Paolo Magazzu and his wife Elia and Giovanna Capone and her husband Jerry all of Medford and the late Maria Magazzu Puleo and her husband Placido. Carmelo was the uncle to many loving nieces and nephews.





Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Tuesday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Carmelo's life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am.





Family and friends are kindly invited to attend Visiting Hours Monday 3-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
