Carmine Fusco

November 28, 1932 — April 12, 2021

On Monday April 12th, Carmine Fusco, of Stoneham, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away at the age of 88. Carmine was born in Bellona, Italy on November 28th 1932. He married his loving wife Filomena, with whom he shared a life for 64 years, and they raised three children Luigi, Morena and Maurizio.

A man of few words, Carmine spoke volumes by way of his love and adoration for his family. He radiated joy in the presence of his children, grandchildren and eventual great-grandchildren. Carmine cherished moments shared with his family, constantly bringing smiles to their faces through his gestures - be it building toys and trinkets or bringing small farm animals to his yard. His gentle and diligent care for his garden paralleled his approach to his family, in which he found joy in watching each grow and flourish, welcoming all to share in the fruits of his labors. Carmine spent his early years traveling through Europe working as a master mason to support his family. Though not traditionally educated, Carmine's wisdom and ingenuity was abundant. He shared his resourcefulness with his family, devising solutions to the seemingly unsolvable and readily lending a hand and heart whenever the need arose. Carmine lived his life for, and constantly surrounded by his family who carry on his legacy and rejoice in his memory.

Carmine was predeceased by his parents, Luigi and Itala (Sorrentino) Fusco and siblings Giovanni, Vittorio, Ninetta, Ersilia and Maria. Carmine is survived by his wife, Filomena; his sisters, Ida and Carmelina; his three children and their spouses, Luigi and Anna Fusco, Maurizio and AnnMarie Fusco, and Morena and Rocco Calamonici; grandchildren Daniela and husband Mike, Giancarlo and wife Kate, Anthony, Antonio and wife Julia, Katrina, Robby, Michael and Francesco; and great-grandchildren, Luc, Micaela, Mila, Emilia, Louis and Joseph.
