Carole Ann (Bowden) Roach

Carole Ann (Bowden) Roach, 78, of Windham, NH, formerly of Stoneham, MA and Peabody MA, passed away on June 8, 2022.  

 

Carole was born in Peabody, Massachusetts on July 27, 1943 to Elizabeth (Devaney) Bowden and Albert Bowden. She is survived by her husband of more than 53 years Paul, her son Christopher and his wife Erin, and her daughter Ellen. She is the beloved grandmother of Finnian, Teagan and Evelinn.

 

Carole was a graduate of Salem State College and dedicated her life to teaching young people. She worked as a Social Studies teacher in Peabody before taking a break from the classroom to raise her family. She would later return to her career in a job she truly loved, being a teachers’ aide at Central School in Stoneham. For many years she ruled over recess, kept order at lunch and helped turn rambunctious kindergartners into successful students.  

 

Carole loved making new friends and treasured the old ones.  She enjoyed shopping, Irish music, spending time with family and friends and snacking on Cheez-Its and M&M’s. Her sharp wit and kind heart will be missed by all who loved her. 

 

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Mass Celebrating Carole's Eternal Life in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham on Monday June 20, 2022 at 10 am.
