Carolyn Ann (Salvi) Smith, of Stoneham, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the age of 80.  Born on July 7, 1944, in Medford, she was the cherished daughter of the late John Salvi and Anita (Diozzi) Salvi.

Carolyn will be remembered as a warm, kind, and gentle soul who devoted her life to her family and friends. A loyal daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, she brought love and joy to everyone who knew her.

She was the beloved mother of Andrea Turnbull and her husband Eric, Robert Smith and his wife Amy, and Kimberly Rusch and her husband Russell. Carolyn was a proud and devoted grandmother to Jessica Cappuccio and her husband Anthony, Melanie Smith and her fiancé Alex Lavigne, Karly Paone and her husband Robert, Robert Smith Jr., Colton Rusch, Logan Rusch, and Ellora Smith. She was also the adoring great-grandmother of Jace Cappuccio.

Carolyn is lovingly remembered by her dear sisters, Evelyn O’Shaughnessy and her husband David, and Claire Blaney and her late husband Richard. She is also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, whose lives were touched by her kindness and compassion.

To honor Carolyn’s wishes, all services will be held privately.
