Carroll Paul Sheehan

Carroll P. Sheehan of Stoneham, previously of Milton, passed away on May 17, 2016 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Diane (Sweeney) and former husband to Frances (Jones). Devoted father of Lucille Sheehan, Nancy Sheehan, Elizabeth Pomfred and her husband Thomas, Jeanne Sheehan Corcoran, Maria Sheehan, Bridget Sheehan and her wife Danielle Pond, Marybeth Sheehan and her fiancé Andrew Busa. Cherished grandfather of Timothy, Stephen, Gregory, Phillip, Edward, Thomas, Matthew, Paula, Owen and Everly. Great grandfather of Dylan, Mason, and Christopher.

Republican Candidate for Governor of Massachusetts in 1974, Former Commissioner of Commerce and Development for Massachusetts, Former Regional Director for the US Department of Labor, Chairman of Planning Board City of Boston, Former Vice President and Director of RM Bradley Co, Inc., Veteran of World War II, USN, Korean War, USMC, Past Commander of Milton Post 114 American Legion.

Brother of Robert Sheehan and predeceased by Frances X. Jr, Marion, Richard, Philomene McCue, and Thomas. In-laws of Loretta Sweeney, Wayne and Eileen Schultz. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Doherty Barile Family Funeral Home 11 Linden St. READING on Saturday May 21, 2016 at 8:45am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Carroll's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the family on Friday May 20, 2016 from 4-8pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and ramped entrance are available. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
