Catherine C. (Maheigan) Simonds

Catherine C. (Maheigan) of Stoneham formerly of Melrose and Arlington passed away on August 18, 2014 in Woburn.

Born in Boston, Catherine was the loving daughter of the late John A. and Mary E. (Lawton) Maheigan.

Catherine was a warm and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all who were privileged to have known her.

Catherine was the beloved wife of the late Harold P. Simonds. She was the devoted mother of Kenneth Simonds and his wife Christine, Ann Feeney and her husband Brian, Barbara Dias and her husband Scott, Marie Milliken and Julie DeFeo and her husband Paul. Catherine was the cherished grandmother of 14. She was the dear sister of Dorothy O'Donnell, Edward Maheigan and the late John Maheigan, Jr. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass celebrating Catherine's Eternal Life will be held in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 9 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Friday, August 22, 2014 from 4-7 pm in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM. Parking attendants will be available. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham.
