Cecilia Jean (Tambuzza) LaMattina

Cecilia Jean (Tambuzza) LaMattina, of Stoneham, age 93, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016, on what would have been the 70th wedding anniversary to her late husband, James R. LaMattina. Cecilia is survived by her three children and spouses, James LaMattina Jr of Stoneham, Mass., Joseph LaMattina and his wife Donna of Newmarket, New Hampshire and Jack LaMattina and his wife Rose of Homosassa, Florida.

Cecilia is also survived by her sister, Jennie and her late husband Emilio Lopilato of Somerville, Massachusetts, and her late sister Joanne Anderson of Stoneham, Mass.
She was a much loved Grandmother to 7 Grandchildren Randy, Jessica, Joseph, Jennie, Rebecca, Brittney and Michael and 4 Great Grandchildren Colby, Ryan, Emma and Cecilia (CeCe). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

Cecilia was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on June 20, 1922 to Joseph and Jennie (Mauceri) Tambuzza. Married in 1946, Cecilia lived in Somerville Mass. and then moved to Stoneham in 1959 where she and her husband raised their three children. Besides loving being with her family, Cecilia's favorite past-times were going to The Mohegan Sun Casino, and as she said "Donating her money" and playing cards. Cecilia was loved very much and will be greatly missed.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM on Wednesday, June 8th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Cecilia's Eternal Life in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with the Family on Tuesday, June 7th from 3-7pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and elevator are available. Cecilia will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Saint Patrick's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, donations may be made to any Alzheimer's Organization.
