Charles William Crilley

Charles William Crilley of Stoneham, Massachusetts passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022.  He is 83 years of age.

Born on Monday, September 4, 1939 in Saugus, Charles is a loving son of the late Thomas Crilley and Gertrude (Beckford) Crilley.  Charles is a warm, kind and gentle son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend.  He will be truly missed.

Charles was an employee of Hostess Cake for 42 years. He is a longtime member and past Exalted Ruler of the Saugus Lodge of Elks. He was involved with Saint Patrick Colorguard where he was a manager for many years.

Charles enjoyed evenings at the Elks, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Charles is the beloved husband of the late Jane (Mitchell) Crilley.  He is the devoted father of Anthony Crilley and his wife Robin Kastanopolous, Sandra Jensen and her partner Ryan Matthews and Kristen Kelly and her husband William.  The cherished grandfather of Ashley Wallace and her husband Andrew, Amanda Jensen, Erin Marion and her husband Doug, Mitchell Jensen, Daniel Kelly and his wife Amanda, Dylan Jensen his partner Kayley, Christopher Kelly his wife Samantha.  Charles is the doting great grandfather of Lilly, William, Samuel, Madilynn, Charlotte, Nicholas and Matthew.  He is the dear brother of Douglas Crilley and the late Marie Johnson, Thomas Crilley, Dorothy Leonhardt, Josephine Gerniglia, Frank Currier, Robert Currier, Eleanor Downing and Virginia Whitworth.  Charles is the companion of Lorelei Cunha.  He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main Street (RT 28) STONEHAM on Monday, October 10^th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Charles’ Eternal Life in Saint Patrick Church, 71 Central Street Stoneham at 10am.  Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Charles’ Family on Sunday, October 9^th from 1-4pm in the Funeral Home.  Parking attendants and elevator are available.
