Charles G. Dinan

Charles Dinan of Reading passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center. He was 67 years of age.

Born in Woburn, Charles was the loving son of the late Mary (Keleher) Dinan and Eugune S. Dinan. Charles was a warm and caring son, husband, father and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Charles graduated from Reading High School in 1964 and Merrimack College in 1968. He was retired from the Social Security Administration, Boston Office. Charles was a huge Red Sox and sports fan.

During the Vietnam War, Charles proudly defended our country by serving as a Sergeant in the United States Army.

Charles was the beloved husband of the late Mary Elizabeth (Kennedy) Dinan with whom he shared 35 years of marriage.

Charles was the devoted father of Helen M. Dinan. He was the loving brother of Julianne Carbone and the late Steven Dinan and John Dinan. Charles is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral from the Doherty – Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St. READING Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 9:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Charles' Eternal Life in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St. Reading at 10:00 am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share remembrances with the Family on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 from 4-8 pm in the Funeral Home. Parking attendants and handicapped entrance are available. Interment with Military Honors will take place at Massachusetts National Veterans Cemetery in Bourne.
