Cidaliza S. (Sousa) Mello of Stoneham passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at New England Rehabilitation Hospital, Woburn. She was 87 years of age.
Born in Cambridge, Mrs. Mello was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Pique) Sousa. She was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all.
Cidaliza was a dedicated homemaker for many years. She was an extraordinary mother, grandmother. She loved to square dance, being a part of the Red Hot Squares of Burlington. She was a devoted member of St. Patrick's Parish, Stoneham.
Mrs. Mello was the beloved wife of the late William T. Mello. She was the devoted mother of William T. Mello Jr. and his wife Janet of N.H. and Lois Harrington and her husband Tim of Stoneham. She was the cherished grandmother of William T. Mello III, Robert A. Mello, Christopher S. Mello, Allison C. Mello, Jill Grasso, Timothy W. Harrington, Dawn L. Harrington and Kerri Smith. She was the loving great grandmother of Olivia, Bradley, Katelyn, Steven, Jessica and Matthew. She was the dear sister of Stanley Sousa of FL. and the late Mary Matarese and Joseph Sousa.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Friday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Patrick's Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10 am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Thursday 4-8pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery, Stoneham. Donations in memory of Cidaliza may be made to St. Patrick's Building Fund, 9 Pomeworth St. Stoneham, MA. 012180.
