Claire I. (MacWhinie) Grace of Reading passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the Wilmington Health Care Center. She was 77 years of age.
Born in Melrose, Claire was the daughter of the late Esther (Gallaher) and Norman P. MacWhinie. Claire grew up in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1951.
Claire was a warm and caring wife, cousin and friend. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Claire was a member of Liturgical Committee at St. Agnes Church in Reading, she was also the building supervisor for the CCD office at St. Agnes Church. She was a member of the R.C.I.A. Team. Claire loved all animals and loved her puppies. She loved to read and enjoyed Harry Potter books. Claire and her husband vacationed in Wells, Maine. She loved Marilyn Monroe.
Claire was the beloved wife for 55 years of Edward F. Grace, Jr. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Mass Celebrating Claire's Eternal Life on Thursday in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St., Reading at 11 am. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stoneham.
